If you didn’t know already, the following Tuesday after Thanksgiving is known as Giving Tuesday. Now, what exactly is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday was created to help nonprofits raise money. This holiday serves to offset the crazy spending for Black Friday and give back to other organizations.
This year, Waypoint Writing encourages you to help give back to the community by celebrating this special day.
How can you help?

About Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that focuses on encouraging people to do good. It was created in 2012 and has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires people all over to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
The whole idea is quite simple: make someone smile, help out a stranger, donate to a good cause. Overall, just do something good because the world needs a little more kindness.
Join the Movement
This year, Giving Tuesday falls on November 29, 2022. Waypoint Writing encourages you to join us and give back on Giving Tuesday! – and everyday for that matter!
And remember, giving back doesn’t always mean spending money.
There are so many ways that you can help out strangers, friends, or local organizations without spending any money. You can donate your time, your kindness, and a helping hand.
Just one small act of kindness can make a big difference. <3
